Our candies are coated with real fruit acids like citric and malic acid to give them their signature mouth-puckering sour punch. Over time, especially in warm or humid conditions, these acids can begin to interact with the hard candy surface. This can cause the outer layer to soften, become slightly sticky, or appear cloudy—even though the inside is still perfectly good.
